Each project is budgeted based on its needs. Contact us, and we will return a proposal within 24 hours of speaking with you.

availability?

We may be able to move forward right away or we may need more lead time.

Contact us, and we will give you our earliest availability.

Timeline?

Our projects typically take 5-6 weeks to complete, but accelerated timelines may be available. This depends on the size of the project, our current workload, and how quickly interviewees are available.

Who do you interview?

We will interview 5-10 of the “key players”: the client, family, friends, colleagues, expert witnesses, eye witnesses.

You decide our final interview list.

How do I get the final video?

You will receive a link from us where you can watch and review the final video. Once you approve the video, we will send you a link to download it or ship a hard copy if you prefer.

How do I send the final video?

You can ship the video on a thumb drive or send a secure link we provide. We recommend the latter for multiple reasons.

Confidentiality?

We take confidentiality very seriously and include a robust confidentiality clause in our contract. We do not promote ourselves on social media. Any footage or images on our website are approved by the civil attorneys we serve.

shooting locations?

Typically, we shoot at the homes or workplaces of those we interview. To increase efficiency, we may ask multiple people to come to one location. Alternately, we can shoot at your offices or rent a location as needed.

what Do you need?

We need your legal expertise, direction on strategy, and relationship with the client. Regarding materials, ideally we would have:

  • Case collateral — case summary, documents, investigation results, etc.

  • Personal collateral — digital and print photos, videos, recordings, etc.

  • Public record — 911 audio, police reports, body cam footage

  • Personal security or dashcam footage as available

  • Demonstratives — medical or autopsy illustrations, other renderings

Who conducts the interviews?

Typically, we conduct the interviews based on your input for which topics to hit with each person. If you are comfortable with interview techniques used in post-produced video work, you might choose to conduct the interviews yourself.

Are Zoom interviews okay?

Zoom interviews are okay for expert testimony or non-immediate friends or family. Ideally, all the key players will be present for an in-person interview.

How long do you need for shooting?

Most projects require two or three days of shooting. Zoom interviews might happen before or after the primary shoot.

Where do you work?

We work in Virginia, Washington DC, North Carolina, and Maryland most often. We primarily work with civil attorneys on the east coast.

We can travel anywhere you need us to.

Are you a business partner of the VTLA?

What is a settlement demand?

A settlement demand is an official statement, sent by a plaintiff’s attorney, which outlines the client’s complaint against the defendant and their expectation of a financial recovery outside of court. A settlement demand package may include a letter, photos, demonstratives, and a Settlement Demand video.

A settlement demand seeks to avoid the need for trial.

Why make a Settlement demand video if my case may go to trial?

It may not be worth it to hire us if you expect your case will go to trial.

However, in every case we’ve worked on, we have uncovered new facts in our interviews with witnesses and experts. The depth and breadth of our interviews are designed to do this, and these facts may prove useful in your case.

Our Settlement Demand videos have, in some cases, avoided the need for trial.

Our Day in the Life videos are designed to be admissible should your case go to trial.

Who do you work with?

We work with civil attorneys, primarily in Virginia, Washington DC, North Carolina, and Maryland, who take cases of merit.

What are other names for the work you do?

There are other names for the same work we do, including: settlement video brochure, settlement presentation, day-in-the-life video, slice of life video, settlement video package, and settlement demand package.
